The Black American U.S. Pageant began in 2011 in an effort offer women of Black/African-American backgrounds the chance to compete in the world of live pageantry.. It is an extention of the African-American United an online achievement based community service driven pageant owned, directed, and produced soley by Sophia Minor.
Goals:
The goal of Black-American U.S. pageant is to guide, develop and train women for different levels of pageantry.
The first live pageant venture was held in 2011 with The Ethnic World International pageant held in California. The first titleholder representing the Black-American U.S. program is Erin Middelton.
